When it comes to dog breeds, there are quite few which can spark a controversy as often as pit bulls can.

Recent news on this topic informs us that, during this year's National Pit Bull Awareness Day, several American citizens are to take part in a so-called “Hate Walk” and voice their complaints against this breed. Sources say that those who will take part in this protest have chosen to do so either because members of their families or close friends have been bitten by these animals, or simply because they consider the breed to be dangerous on principle.

Thus, most of them are teachers, joggers, letter carriers and concerned parents.

The march is to take place in Tucson, Arizona, on October 27, and the official website for this Walk for Victims of Pit Bulls and Other Dangerous Dogs event claims that Mayor Jonathan Rothschild agreed to also take part in it.
