Worthy of all your attention.

Christmas approaching with a train-like roar? Afraid you won't find anything appropriate as a gift for your loved one(s)? LG comes with a backpack full of hopes for all of us due to the leaked photos of its KE850 mobile phone, one of the handsets that entered the iF Product Design Award 2007.

At that moment in time, there weren't any information about its spec sheet or any photos of the device for that matter, so all we had were pieces of info and rumors about a touchscreen mobile phone.

The KE850 only has three buttons, a Send, an End and a Confirm button, this meaning that the rest of the tasks you will have to complete on this device will make you use the huge touchscreen, a display completely covering the front side of the cellphone. I don't know yet how big that screen will be but you can be sure it is going to be pretty big due to its 240x400 resolution.

Until now, almost all the info I've got about this handset has something to do with the pictures that came loose into the wild during the last two months. Yes, two months, because the device has been on the test bench at the FCC on September 21 this year. A lot of time for a handset to arrive on the market but from what we can see from the leaked photos, the time is well worth the wait.

The handset's pictures available on the web also reveal that the phone is going to have multimedia capabilities, a fact kind of obvious if one thinks about the built-in the high resolution display, and Office open/edit abilities.

Because it features a black colored case, this might be yet another member of the Chocolate family we all love so much, but if this won't turn out to be the truth, it's not going to be such a tragedy.

All I want to have now is the occasion to get my hands on it or at least to get some official pictures released by the manufacturer and after this is going to happen, I'm gonna think about the Chocolate related aspects of the problem.

One thing is sure though: the KE850 is going to come out on the mobile market pretty soon and, if I'm right, this is going to happen before the end of the year. If I'm not, we'll talk about it in the first quarter of 2007.

Either way, things look good from the LG point of view!
