Even if they say that physical beauty should not count so much, it really does make a big difference! The "wrapping" is not all, but it often reflects the inner beauty and that is why we should care about the way we look and about how the others see us. One does need to be laden with make-up or apply plastic surgery from head to toes in order to be beautiful and good-looking. Simply try to take care of your looks by caring the skin on a regular basis.

The three steps that should be followed daily in order to have and maintain a beautiful complexion are not at all sophisticated, do not require special attendance and do not last for hours. Ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening are more than enough for a woman to fend for herself. Therefore, cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin!

Cleansing of the skin is absolutely crucial if one does not want to develop acne or other types of epidermis infection. Everyday our skin is exposed to environmental pollution factors that can damage the skin. The dust or dirt particles from outdoors are attracted to the skin and complexion and come to fill the epidermis pores. If the dirt is not removed on a regular basis from the skin, the particles will continually obstruct the pores and our skin will not be able to "breathe" anymore. This can only cause skin infections and disorders.

Cleansing of the epidermis should be made in the morning, to remove the dirt accumulated in the skin pores all through the night and to offer us protection all day long. It has to be performed in the evening, too, in order to remove the dust and bacteria stockpiled on the face while we are at work, shopping or simply taking a walk outside.

Please note that skin's cleansing should be made whether we use to wear make up or not. Even if we prefer a natural look and do not use regularly make up foundation, face powder, eye make up, lipstick etc. we still have to remove impurities on our skin.

Besides cleansers produced by the cosmetic industry there are natural home-made cleansers that can be used for cleaning the epidermis, such as: lemon juice, yogurt, honey etc.

Toning is the second step that should be performed during the skin care process. Toning of the skin removes the traces left by cosmetic cleansers in the skin, soothes the complexion and regulates its natural Ph balance and also prepares the skin for the final step, the applying of a hydrating face cream.

Natural and very beneficial toners that can be used for the complexion are: chamomile, apple mixed with honey lotion, lemon mixed with honey, lime juice etc.

Moisturizing the skin is also crucial for a healthy and beautiful looking complexion. Even if our skin has its natural hydrating oil named sebum, most of the times its action upon the epidermis has to be aided by other nurturing substances or compounds. The hydrating face creams provide lipids that fight against aging of the skin and wrinkles, revitalize and replenish it with beneficial nutrients the skin during the night sleep. Night face creams also help the skin to repair damaged cells and tissues.

It is very important to know that moisturizing the skin in the evening in essential for skin beauty because the skin "breathes" mainly at night. In this way, the epidermis will be very avid to quench its "thirst" for nutritive substances.

Besides the three main daily steps in skin care, there are also weekly steps, like purifying, scrubbing, exfoliating the epidermis and applying different kind of masks depending on the needs of your skin. These skin care procedures usually involve more concentrated and strong products that can become harmful for the skin if used daily. But they are very beneficial for the epidermis if applied once a week.
