Croteam has announced that its quirky puzzle game The Talos Principle is getting an expansion pack this spring, titled Road to Gehenna.

The philosophical platformer took many by surprise, because few expected the makers of Serious Sam to also be fans of thinking about useless stuff, in addition to liking shooting stuff in the face.

The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna follows the adventures of Uriel, Eolhim's messenger, as he explores a strange part of the simulation.

He embarks on a mission of mercy and redemption, attempting to free the souls of the damned, over the course of four new episodes, coming with new characters and challenging puzzles.

The developers stated that they wanted to revisit the game's world and expand in its lore, delivering new characters and a new, hidden part of it, with intriguing history and culture.

Road to Gehenna enabled them to create an all-new narrative, a new branching adventure that expands the original journey.

It's always good to get more of something good

The Talos Principle is a first-person puzzle game that throws players in a strange and contradictory world, tasked to solve a series of complex and cryptic tasks, exploring your purpose and nature in the meantime.

The game follows a narrative that discusses humanity, technology and civilization, establishing bridges between technology and religion, relying on your curiosity and legwork to piece together the various clues it has to offer.

The visuals are also stellar, featuring a wide open canvas with fantastic set pieces and superb music, as well as good voice acting, making the entire experience even more compelling.
