Swimming in the pool, especially in the summertime, when it's hot outside, is a real pleasure for quite a large number of people. However, even this activity has its dangers, because accidents might occur even in a pool, which is, to some extent, a controlled environment. However, now, even these improbable accidents can be avoided quite easily, by using a system called SenTAG, developed by the company with the same name.
The concept on which the SenTAG is based on is a simple one. Thus, each person that enters the pool must wear a little wristband that monitors the swimmer's "status", depending on their relative movement and depth. If the user goes beyond certain pre-established limits (of depth, distance from the side of the pool, etc.), he/she are immediately warned by the wristband, which generates very strong alarm sounds and LED flashes.

If the user doesn't take into consideration the warning issued by the device, it emits a wireless signal towards a central unit, located outside the pool, which, in its turn, alerts the pool supervisors. The advantages offered by this system are obvious, as it can prevent accidents and make the job of the people in charge of supervising the pool a lot easier.
