The GPS phone packed with features

HTC announced the launching of its HTC P3300 GPS smartphone (also known as Artemis) on the Indian market, after a year since its first official release. The phone is actually a PDA and a GPS device in one, an excellent handset for both business and traveling. The HTC P3300 can provide up to 4.5 - 5 hours of GPS usage and features the MapKing R12 latest version of the mobile mapping system. Also, it comes with the TomTom NAVIGATOR 6 software for smart and easy road navigation.

Ajay Sharma, country manager at High Tech Computer Corp (HTC) India, said: "With an already existing portfolio of world class smartphones and PDAs available in India under the HTC brand, we are now introducing the P3300 GPS phone with photo navigation capabilities in India. We are confident that this phone would become the preferred choice among customers."

HTC P3300 operates on WM 2006, hence it comes with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Outlook Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile. It also has IE Mobile and Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. The phone provides full range of connectivity through Bluetooth 2.0, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Wi-Fi. A generous 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen LCD display and a high-resolution 2.0 megapixel camera are provided to meet the needs of those who want multimedia entertainment. FM Radio is featured, so that users can have the latest news and music on the go.

Despite the fact that it's packed with features, the GPS phone is only 16.8mm thick and weighs 128 grams. It offers 64MB RAM and 128MB built-in ROM and its innovative HTC RollR, combining the use of a Trackball and a Track Wheel, will make navigation and browsing extremely simple.

HTC P3300 is available via major carriers in India at a price of Rs. 23,000, the equivalent of approximately 585 US dollars.
