I couldn't say where this tiny PC fits in today's powerful notebook products, but it's pretty impressive nonetheless. The Stealth LPC-450 (14.6 x 25.2 x 4.2) cm could be the most powerful non-laptop small form factor device on the market (I can't say for sure, but it could be). Did I mention that the size of the casing is about the same as that of a hard cover novel?

Stealth Computer's engineers have managed to squeeze one motherboard that supports Duo Cored CPUs, up to 1GB of DDR II memory, up to 160GB of hard drive space, a slim DVD/CD-RW optical unit and almost all the connectors (ethernet, RJ-45, audio jacks, 2 USBs firewire, mouse and keyboard, parallel printer port, 15 pin VGA Out, 1 x RS232 COM port) you need for a smooth operation.

Given the size, there's no standalone video card. You only get one Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, but it should be enough for office and day-to-day tasks. Just don't try playing any of the latest 3D games!

This small size also means that the power source is not included in the case and that the producer had to limit the number of fans. The Stealth LPC-450 requires that you plug in a 12V jack, giving the unit an extra mobility boost, and incorporates only one fan (the CPU one).

For extra silence and ruggedness, you can customize the Stealth LPC-450 even more by choosing solid state hard drives (based on the flash memory), but details about this feature are scarce.

Stealth Computer's LPC-450 is available for prices ranging from $1,400 to close to $3,000. The high-end versions incorporate Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 CPUs running at 2.33GHz, 1GB of DDR II memory, 160GB SATA II drives, DVD/DVDR units and some external storage components.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
