Apple has started decorating the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts with its logo, in anticipation of the September 12 event for the unveiling of the iPhone 5.

By far Apple’s favorite venue for big announcements, San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts is getting prepared for a makeover in the days leading up to the iPhone 5 unveiling.

Obtained by Andrew Stern, these images were supplied to 9to5mac with confirmation that Apple has officially started preparations for this year’s biggest event.

The Cupertino, California-based computer giant sent out the invitations to its showcase earlier this week. The artwork included a giant 12 casting a shadow in the shape of a 5, hinting that the company’s next-gen smartphone will indeed bear the iPhone 5 moniker.
