Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton are set to make The Spice Girls trio and go ahead with a full-scale reunion without Mel C and Mel B, who refused to join them at the Live 8 concert in London, so the band's come-back was postponed.

According to a source quoted by the British newspaper the News Of The World: "There was no way the two Mels will come on board so they had two choices - give it up or go it alone."

Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton are rumored to have had "secret comeback talks" on the upcoming reunion of the band.

"There's already been some interest from record labels who are keen to sign a deal with just the three of them. Sadly, there's no way the two Mels will agree to come on board so the rest of the girls had two choices, either give up or go it alone," according to News Of The World.

"Now Emma has been telling pals they'll 'do a Bananarama' and continue as a trio. And with or without the other two they stand to make shedloads of money", the insider told the British paper.

"Emma, Geri and Victoria have been chatting on the phone and have met for coffee. And the fact is, they are getting on better than ever. They've all decided this is what they want, erm, what they really, really want", the source added.
