The Spice Girls really should be reminded of just how lucky they are. Their comeback tour has sparked enormous media attention and coverage and has resulted in the five members of the band concluding a series of extremely profitable publicity deals, not to mention an impressive number of concerts booked all over the world.

All the premises are there for the Spice Girls Reunion Tour to be a huge hit - the five girls are more mature, they can interact better, four of the five band mates are mothers and have supposedly gained a deeper understanding of life. They would not allow whims and over-inflated egos stand in the way of their reunion. Or so you'd think.

As the preparations for the tour kick-off go into overdrive, it turns out that old feuds have sparked up again and things didn't go smoothly when the reunited girl group gathered at the Pinewood Studios in London in order to film the promo for their new single called "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)". It looks like we, the members of the eagerly expecting audience, pretty much ignored the fact that the Girls' egos seem to have grown bigger along with the renewed interest in the band.

The shooting session reportedly ran until 3am because of Geri Halliwell's constant meditation. Mel B and Victoria Beckham - who had flown in from Los Angeles earlier in the morning - also disrupted proceedings: Mel constantly complained she was suffering from jet lag, while Victoria reportedly insisted on having an assistant follow her around with a supply of fruit and champagne. Yes, I was wondering when the diva behavior would begin - and hoped they would be mature enough to keep it under control or at least not let whims and absurd pretensions get in the way of their work - to no avail.

"Things were very delayed" states a source. "The director was tearing his hair out and threatening to walk. The girls were so tired and Emma was crying as the shoot just went on and on. Geri kept slowing things down by meditating and doing strange spiritual stuff. It's just like before but now their egos are even bigger".

Yes, well, if they are to register the huge success we're all banking for (including themselves), this kind of behavior better go away - soon, otherwise it can lead to a huge image disaster and since all the premises are there for a fantastic tour, it would be a huge shame. So wake up girls, and stick more to the whole "friendship never ends" motto - it has a nice sound to it.
