tmz.com just reported that Candy Spelling, grieving widow of big time TV producer, has quietly put the fabulous family estate on the market. The mansion was built in 1991 and the cost rose up to $41 million, including $10 million for the land.
The 56,000 square-foot property is situated in the Holmby Hills neighborhood, in a select part of Los Angeles. After the death of Aaron (on June 23) and the funerals that were held at the house, Candy is said to have let go part of the staff and to have closed many wings of the mansion. Then, she started the talks with Westside Estate Agency that has already tagged it at $150 million.
The Spelling mansion is one of the most beautiful houses in Hollywood and, up to this point, one of the most private and well-guarded. If reports are true, people will get to see its inside pretty soon, as Candy apparently decided to close parts of it so that it would be more accessible to visitors. And, by the way, people are dying to see her gift wrapping room and the room kept especially for Candy's eBay collection.
