The Soundmaster HighLine looks pretty much like the Porsche radio clock

The HighLine from Soundmaster represents probably the best $60 you've ever spent on a multiple-function gadget. And if you're in search of a nifty thingie for your bedroom, looking good and loaded with a heap of functions without paying high prices, then this is the right one for you. It's been quite a lot since we've last seen such a complete MP3-clock-alarm-radio unit boasting looks and attitude like the Soundmaster HighLine, and it seems that people are totally embracing this new creation.

The inspiration from Porsche is obvious and this might be a setback for some buyers. But in case you're comfortable with a tool looking much like the revered Eton audio system, then you're set.

One of the most notable features of the Soundmaster HighLine is its capability to do so many things. First of all, you get an alarm clock for your timekeeping and for waking you up when needed, with a buzzer, radio or even preferred music track. Next comes the AM/FM tuner, which puts you in contact with your favorite news and music or radio stations in your area.

And you can, of course, use the Soundmaster HighLine as a nifty docking speaker system for your other media storage devices: the Aux In stereo 3.5mm jack lets you plug in any MP3 player and enjoy a bigger sound, while USB sticks can also be used for music playback. And if you have your MP3 or WMA music on an SD or MMC digital card, just insert it in the special slot and enjoy!

Radio and EQ presets and 120 min sleep

The normal, pop, rock, jazz, classic EQ presets on the Soundmaster HighLine will make sure you get the best possible sound with the dual built-in 70mW drivers. With a black brushed aluminium front and varnished plastic housing, this piece of gadgetry is definitely a most attractive presence in your bedroom or even on your desk at work; a headphone output for private listening is also available, as well as a sleep function (max 120 min).

Finally, this gadget can make an excellent Christmas gift if you're after functionality and looks for a decent price; and again, it sells for an unbelievable $61.
