If you really want to buy a good "caravan for ya' ma", then you'd better take a look at the Snail Shell System. The thing was designed by the Danish art group N55 back in 2001, and now, it also comes with a manual. It can be your mobile house, your rolling vehicle, your desk, your boat, your demonstrations' protective bunker, your everything. It's what a nomad like you needs so that trouble will avoid you wherever you go! It can even be buried in the ground.

It's constructed from a cylindrical polyethylene tank that can allow you to attach various devices in order give you access to water, electricity or communication lines. The thing weights about 90 kg, it has a 153 cm diameter, and it's 105 cm tall. The Snail Shell comes with surface-attached removable caterpillar tracks of rubber that protect the tank during transportation.

A lid acts as a front door and an air intake provides a constant supply of fresh air. There's also a box that contains all the accessories needed on a trip. A plastic bag, for example, can be folded over the equipment box's knobs in order to let you take a dump in a hole. A hand bilge pump acts as a vacuum cleaner and it can also be used for pumping water. It works as a shower if it's combined with hoses and a flexible tank.

If it's exposed to strong wind, the snail Shell can be moored using three eye bolts which are fixed to the surface. The bottom is covered by a foam sheet that insulates the unit and also functions as a mattress. I wonder if future human-snail-like creatures will carry this around on the streets. Still, remember this: God is good, but never dance in a small boat!
