Getting tired of carrying that laptop back and forth between home and work? Frequently forget to save updated versions of files? Or simply in need of a better, higher capacity storage option for monster-size documents?

Imation Corp announces the global launch of the Imation Micro Hard Drive, available in a 2GB capacity in mid-July. The Micro Hard Drive is ideal for on-the-go professionals who need an ultra portable and reliable way to share, store and transport important files.

Durable and secure, the Imation Micro Hard Drive padlock design features a unique, integrated locking USB cable that can be used to clip the sleek storage device to a belt loop or briefcase. The design is both stylish and practical

Inside the one-ounce device is the 2005 Guinness Book of World Records' smallest hard disk drive (HDD), a Toshiba invention measuring less than one inch in diameter, smaller than the size of a quarter, and yet powerful enough to store high-capacity presentations, graphics, photos, music or e-mails.

The Imation Micro Hard Drive makes sharing and transferring files easy thanks to the Micro Hard Drive's USB 2.0 high speed interface as well as its ability to transfer files across PC, Mac and Linux platforms.

The 2GB Imation Micro Hard Drive will be available in mid-July in the U.S., Latin America and Asia Pacific at authorized Imation distributors. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) in the U.S. is $159. A 4GB Imation Micro Hard Drive will be available in the U.S., Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe in Q4; U.S. MSRP is $189.
