He did say that “Jersey Shore” was just a launching pad for him and he knew what he was saying: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is now a bona fide star, standing to make no less than $5 million in 2010.

As the new season of the reality show continues to bring in massive ratings for MTV – in fact, the best the network has seen in seven years, no less, The Hollywood Reporter writes – The Sitch’s future is looking green. Literally.

Because he is such a visible public figure and thanks to his being so relatable, The Situation has landed several endorsements deals, as well as offers for new projects, which will assure he rakes in the big bucks this year.

Though he started small on the MTV show (financially speaking, of course), Sorrentino is about to roll in dough before this year is up – though it’s already half gone. Confirmation of this comes from Sorretino’s manager himself.

“We are really excited about all the opportunities coming Mike’s way. He has been able to secure many endorsement deals, business opportunities and additional television offers based on the success of the show. Our goal has always been to try to build a brand if the situation presented itself,” Mike Petolino of Gotham Entertainment says for THR.

Sorrentino has been such a hit with audiences that he will be $5 million richer by the time 2010 comes to an end, thanks to a string of major deals, ranging from music to apps, the movie-oriented publication informs.

“Breakout star Sorrentino (aka the Situation) has jumped at the opportunity to capitalize on his fame. By year’s end, the 29-year-old stands to earn more than $5 million, a source familiar with his finances told THR,” the e-zine says.

To break it down a bit, The Situation’s situation looks something like this: $60,000 per episode of “Jersey Shore” (to which we may add bonuses and raises), $15,000-$50,000 for a single public appearance, and a workout DVD “The Situation Workout” coming out, together with and a chewable supplement line.

He’s also penning his autobiography, “Here’s the Situation,” and has just landed an endorsement deal with protein-infused vodka brand Devotion. He also has a “GTL” app and a rap song out, which will probably be followed by an album.

And that’s not all, says THR. “It doesn’t stop: He has further endorsements with Vitamin Water and Reebok and a deal for a clothing line with Dilligaf.”
