The development team at Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts announce that they will be launching The Sims 4 on September 4 in North America, with the title probably set to arrive on the European market three days later.

The two companies are also delivering a new trailer for the life simulation which is designed to show players the kinds of stories that they will be able to create using its core mechanics.

Rachel Franklin, vice president and executive producer for The Sims 4, is quoted as saying that “These are brand new Sims whose traits, emotions and aspirations combine to define more meaningful personalities than you’ve ever played with before. You decide not only what they look like, but more importantly, who they are. The combination of these new Sims, our powerful new creative tools, and the all-new Gallery add up to the best game we’ve ever made.”

All those who are interested in The Sims 4 can now pre-order the title in order to get access to the Limited Edition, which includes the extra content in the Life of the Party pack.

The developers at Maxis are saying that the new title will be focused on the emotions of the characters gamers create, and that they will have an ever greater selection of choices about how they want to conduct their lives.
