The Sims Studio inside video game publisher has announced that it will be launching The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff package for its social interaction powered video game on July 26, allowing players to get more options linked to day-to-day play and more activities to do around town.

EA says that one of the new public options will be to create a library where Sims can meet, read books to update their skills and socialize as long as they keep a low voice and fitness enthusiasts will also be able to create a new high-tech gym facility, which will include treadmills, weight machines and other apparatus designed to make all Sims paragons of physical strength.

The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff pack also includes new outfits and new hairstyles for Sims, new washers and dryers that can be installed in the home and a number of content elements that were created by the Sims community, like the Fresh and Frozen Express Grocer, Par Excellence Preparatory School and Scrumptious Nibbles Café.

All those who are interested in getting more content for their Sims game can now head to the official EA Store and pre-order the Town Life Stuff pack.

The publisher has not said whether it plans to deliver more such packs in the future or whether it will be focusing on creating bigger expansions for the game, which add new gameplay mechanics and twists to the way the Sims run their life.

The Sims 3 has so far been a success for Electronic Arts, with the company able to reproduce the model used for the second game in the series by delivering a constant flow of downloadable content designed for the hardcore fans, who are always looking for ways to expand their Sims experience.

The Sims 3 has sold close to 5 million copies.
