The Sims 3 Teaser Website Launched, Info Coming Soon

- All the girls go loco, another Sims game is ready to get detailed

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

Considered one of the most successful games in the world and considered by many the World of Warcraft of offline play, The Sims is definitely the game that got the most sequels
or expansions in the world and history of gaming. The Sims 2, for example, got no less than 7 expansion packs since its launch in 2004 – and this doesn't mean only that EA wants more money and tries to keep it as up to date as possible, it also proves that the game could do well with another sequel.

Actually, The Sims 3 was announced a long while ago, in November 2006, for a "fiscal 2009" launch and it seams that, even though Electronic Arts had their lips sealed since that moment, they have never forgot the money-maker and secretly worked on the third sequel. A small proof for that is the launch of the teaser website where we are told that more information about the game is going to come in less than two weeks from now, on the 19th of March. But I can already feel all the Sims girl fans all over the world fainting and getting over-excited. The Sims 3 is really coming and you can almost feel it now!

However, the highly anticipated sequel got its own cameo (or, we could call it in-game teaser) in the latest (and 7th) expansion pack for The Sims 2: a secret unlockable event can occur and a Sims-like version of Ron Humble, the executive producer of The Sims 3, gives the player's family an unopened gift-box. When opened, the box creates a special computer as well as a copy of The Sims 3, which the sims can play in the game. However, it's not something the user can control. Still, as I said before, it's both a proof that EA will launch the game in 2009 and a reason for excitement and sim Woo-ing.

I just wonder, honestly: what could a new Sims game bring, instead of, at most, some better graphics? It will definitely not come with a storyline and full frontal nudity is out of question since Jack Thompson is watching.
