in the world, it seems, since it has sold over 100 million units since the first Sims game was released. Initially developed for the PC systems, it was later ported to consoles and was considered an instant success. Even though The Sims 3 has been announced, expansions for the second (and most popular) Sims game are still being launched at regular intervals, thus managing to turn the Sims franchise into a real universe highly appreciated by millions of people.
The DS version, like the other versions of The Sims 2 also has a bunch of glitches that can be exploited for the own advantage of the player, but definitely the most important thing for the gamers are the unlockables (or bonuses) that, unlike in other games, don't really offer the players an advantage or lots of new gameplay options, but are still interesting things to achieve just for the fun of it.
The Sims 2 has been developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts in September 2004 (the 14th in North America and the 16th in Europe). Generally speaking, the game was received with very good reviews, many publications giving The Sims 2 a maximum score.
