Electronic Arts has announced that The Sims 2 Pets has now become available for mobile phones. This means that all players will now, aside from creating their own sims, also be able to create adorable canine companions that they can train, love and play with.

'The Sims 2 Pets for mobile is an ideal product for the mobile consumer, ' said Travis Boatman, vice president of worldwide studios for EA Mobile. ' Simple controls and easy, pick-up-and-play game design will satisfy both the experienced The Sims player just as much as the casual gamer picking up a mobile game for the first time'.

If you've played The Sims 2 Pets on a PC, then you might end up finding that the mobile game offers pretty much the same experience as the one for PC. In the game, players will be able to create a puppy, choose the breed, coat options and name, teach it tricks, give it food, exercise or cleaning. The tricks you can teach your puppy include Sit, Speak, Roll-Over and Dance. If you manage to raise a well-trained puppy, he/she will delight your Sim with surprising and amusing antics. A neglected puppy on the other hand, will come around to devouring houseplants, shredding papers or soiling the carpet, making your Sim's life miserable.

'With the Sims 2 Pets, we're delivering the 'awww' factor players experience when you see a puppy and capturing the strong ties that exist between a pet and his owner,' added Boatman.

Players that want to get the furry and friendly pets onto their mobile phones will be able to find The Sims 2 Pets on most wireless carriers in North America.
