After gaining an impressive community with the top selling game The Sims, the little virtual people still managed to gather even more with they’re new lives. Your Sim can now grow old and enjoy more of what a real life has to offer. Already four expansions are available and a fifth is on the way. First of all, the Sims needed education so a college was set in the neighborhood that came with The Sims 2: University. Since the downtown area is the place to go and have fun in real life, The Sims 2: Nightlife evened the odds for our lovely Sims creatures. The shopping district is a must for any city that respects itself and its inhabitants. The Sims 2: Open for Business introduced the perfect place for the Sims to spend their hard earned money. Animal companions are such a trendy thing in the real world and our virtual people got their chance to keep up the pace in The Sims 2: Pets. It is rumored that the fifth installment, called The Sims 2: Seasons, will come with a new neighborhood named Riverblossom Hills, available late February – early March 2007, and will enhance the gameplay with the addition of the four seasons as well as weather conditions like rain, hail or storms and snow. The world of our Sims is continuously improving and the stuff packs add each about 50-60 new items to the playground. The four add-ons (Holiday Party Pack, Family Fun Stuff, Glamour Life Stuff and Happy Holiday Stuff) are to be followed by April by the fifth add-on The Sims 2: Celebration Stuff. But no matter how many new things we add to our Sims lives there are yet still some more to discover. This is why I thought about offering you a few glitches and secrets that you may not have noticed until now. Glitches – Free SkillsYour Sims can enjoy the knowledge comprised within books even if they don’t actually
have a bookcase. Buy a bookcase first (don’t worry, you’ll get your money back), then guide your Sim to start studying. The trick is to interrupt the action so that the book is placed on the ground. All you need to do now is to simply sell the bookcase. With the book on the ground you can then do everything the bookcase could have done. Luckily now it’s for free. Secret – Custom PaintingYou can decorate your Sim’s house with custom artwork, but you will first need to have a level five creativity skilled Sim, so he is able to paint still life. Have your Sim start painting and a frame will appear that you can focus on whatever you want him to paint. If you want to paint a picture of something outside the game, just press C anywhere to pause the game. All you need to do now is use ALT + TAB to run the game in the background, then open a picture program such as Paint and open the snapshot you just took, it will usually be in the folder C:-My Documents-EA-Sims2-Storytelling-Snapshot.bmp. Also open the picture you want to have in your game and resize it if needed so it fits the original snapshot from the game. Copy your desired picture to your snapshot from the game, then save. Use ALT + TAB again to get back in the game and watch your Sim start painting your dream picture. Secret – Don’t Waste MoneyIf you’re on a tight budget and don’t wish to use any cheats, there is a way for the poor Sims families to enjoy the luxury of raising their skills even if they do not possess the needed apparatus. The catch is that no matter how many times you use an object, if you sell it the same day, you will get all your money back. So just buy what you need and quickly sell it back before the end of the day. Do this as many times as you need and you will still have the money for other stuff. Besides, this is a good way to avoid your items to lessen their value. Unfortunately it does take some of your time. Secret – Free PizzaYou still haven’t made a fortune out of that using/refunding trick? Here’s how you can get as many free pizzas as you’d like. Have the Sim call for pizza, but when the delivery guy comes don’t accept it! If don’t talk to him, he’ll eventually leave the pizza on the front porch. The thing is this pizza will never get stale and you can get as many as you want. What is better than free food? Free pizza because you don’t have to cook it. Secret – Listen to Your Own Music on Sim RadioFirst get whatever .mp3 file you want to put on the game, then open up the folder MyDocuments-EAGames-TheSims2-Music-(RadioStation). All you need to do is drop your song in the folder. As you get back in your Sims 2 game go to options menu, select the desired Radio Station and finally pick the songs you want to play. Pretty neat way to listen to your favorite songs in game, isn’t it? Secret – Watch Your Own Videos on the Sim TVJust like listening to your favorite music, seeing a video is just as easy. First drop the video you want to see to the folder My Documents-EA Games-The Sims 2-Movies-Broadcast-(TV Station). Note that the video must be an .avi file and its resolution must not be larger then 128x128 pixel and no more then 15 frames per second. Well, TV Stations pay better than Radios so it’s normal to be a lot more complicated.

There have been 9 boys born in a row-And they're all in different neighbourhoods too! Its really annoying and I don't know how it happened! Can anyone help? I only noticed it a few weeks after getting Seasons expansion pack-might be to do with it?? |

you can only put this is if there is actually somebody pregnant in the household though
this will givce you twins , sometimes it doesnt work though, can be annoying if it doesnt |

I have the Sims 2 and Bon Voyage as well as the Seasons expansion packs, and I do not wish to uninstall the game. My Sims faces (in the little box at the bottom that show aspirations and needs etc. and also the opening page when the family is loading.) have turned shaded and dark, so that I can barely see what they looked like. This is really annoying, as it has only happened recently to a newborn baby and an adult who has turned into a elder. |

But when I return home from downtown, the time has reverted back to what it was when I left. Is there a way to keep the continuity? |

Type in unlockcareerrewards in cheat box then go to career rewards and pick the weid phone thing that can call the Grim Reaper. If you have a dead sim in your property (their tombstone) call the Grim Reaper on that phone, then ask to bring back the dead sim, obly offer him about $800, the dead sim should appear near you with blue skin, black rings around their eyes, all dirty and maybe ripped clothes. They also walk around funny and moan. :) |

all food points when tryna get kids in college = 2
i have a family of 9 sims, the couple whos been popping them out has got the fertility thing, and well, her first child was not a twin, but the 3 sets after are, xD
skill points went up mightily fast? i dont know how but they did,
Im sure all of what ive said are glitches in the game |

All her skills are maxed out, just no matter how many wants are fulfilled her aspiration meter never changes, up or down. (I have all the expansions except celebration) |

| Comment #19 by: Jess on 07 Nov 2009, 16:46 GMT | reply to this comment | I've got a weird glitch in my game.My Sims keep repeating the same interaction over and over,even if the other Sim has already left.And when they go downtown,once I click on an interaction,my Sims freeze up.They won't budge.I have to close my game and run it again to make them move.Oh,and also,my nannies keep dying.When they come to my lot they dye.Does anyone know how to fix these problems (I have The Sims 2 and all expansion and stuff packs). |

Every single time she had a baby, it was a boy. And they all looked IDENTICAL to the father. She's an elder now so I'm pretty annoyed. I'm gonna use the cheat to fix it though so her step daughter will have a girl. |
