These days, everything is about Lego bricks. The resounding success of the “Lego Movie” has brought the colored bricks back into popularity, and even TV shows are getting in on the action.

With the cinematic production sitting comfortably atop the domestic box office, “The Simpsons” has announced a Lego special episode will be produced.

The episode is entitled “Brick Like Me” and is set to air on May 4, as episode number 550 of the show. According to TV Guide, in this special feature, Homer wakes up in a Springfield where everyone is blocky and made of Legos.

He has to figure out how he got there and how to get home, before he becomes permanently trapped in the toy version world of his own reality. Naturally, the creators of the show are using this opportunity to launch some Simpson-related Lego merchandise.

Lego has announced that it's coming out with a special Simpsons set that will contain over 2,500 pieces and will feature Lego versions of your favorite animated Simpson characters, including Marge, Lisa, Bart, Homer, Maggie and Ned Flanders.
