The Simplest Way to Break Apart Windows Vista Aero

And put it back together

Believe it or not, Microsoft provides the means to break apart the Windows Aero in Windows Vista, and the entire graphical user interface of the operating system for that matter. However, there are a couple of pre-requisites for such a scenario, and they involve the preinstalled Norwegian version of Windows Vista and the deployment of Microsoft update 932635 designed to tackle problems with textual elements. Fortunately, Microsoft now provides a resolve for this issue in the Knowledge Base article 935759.

Additionally, the Redmond Company has also tackled eight other problems affecting the functionality of its latest operating system. KB 936556 covers problems associated with the correct functionality of a network printer between Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 and x64 Windows Vista.

KB 936693 provides a fix for extraneous noises such as pops or clicks that ruin an audio recording performed via the Sound Recorder in Windows Vista. At the basis of this issue is the lack of

automatically modulated volume levels.

Windows Vista can perform poorly in the context of a VPN connection, because the operating system first starts synchronizing files to the server and only then checks to see if the connection is slow. According to Microsoft, offline files enabled on the computer, cached offline files on the local machine, logging on to the PC when the user was offline and a VPN connection based on a slow connection will all lead to slow Vista performance. KB 934202 will fix such slow performance.

Minimized Windows Media Center window will lose the capacity to display active video both in the thumbnail view and in the Flip 3D view. Microsoft revealed in KB 935994 that the issue affects copies of Windows Vista that fully support Windows Aero.

KB 935279 will address problems with the way Windows Vista handles the display of 802.11g vs. 802.11n wireless network adapter. KB 935799 is meant to resolve issues with the configured power options for the active power plan in Windows Vista that are not applied to the Power Options item in Control Panel.

Altering the display according to a different video port in Vista can result in a DVD movie going back to the beginning. KB 936091 advises users to simply use the Media Center controls to fast forward. KB 935783 offers a hotfix that will resolve problems with aberrant behavior from an USB drive when the user resumes a Vista machine from sleep mode.
