Here's a big surprise! A recent study done by Research and Markets says that China already accounts for 30% of the world's supply of portable media players. The research was conducted based on in-factory tours.

That's not the only news, as giant Chinese manufacturers intend to expand their tenacious production by 20%. They're working on developing feature-rich, competitively-priced PMPs to secure a bigger share of this rapidly growing market.

This report should be taken into consideration, as it clearly reveals which manufacturers specialize in flash or hard disk portable media players, as well as how product features influence pricing tags. In addition, it can also show which IC solutions makers the manufacturers use in their PMPs and just exactly what makers are planning in production and R&D.

According to PMP Today, there are also profile tables of 18 other makers that prove the worthiness of the sourcing information, which includes company background, target markets, and even more data that you may think. The results of the latest supplier survey are also there, predicting price, product, production and trends for the next year.

In addition, there is a supplier contact table available towards the end of the report, which besides having some expected data, lists down phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and websites of every company featured in the report.

But what's most important, there is also a detailed list of 134 best-selling export models, with full-color images and specs. Apparently, this information can't be found anywhere else since the data is based on factory visits and personal interviews.

If you want to know how China influenced the PMP market in the last few years, check the report on the Internet on Research and Markets, and do it now! Honestly, it's not such a big surprise after all!
