When Jerry Seinfeld told his fans that he was working on a “secret project” during a Q& A session with fans on Reddit, people went crazy. Especially when he added that the secret project also involved his former collaborator, Larry David.

People went even crazier when Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander, aka George Constanza on “Seinfeld,” were spotted by an Instagram user outside Tom's Restaurant in New York City.

The user said they were filming something inside and people knew it was something related to the sitcom, because the restaurant was heavily featured on the show back in the day.

Now, Mr. Jerry himself comes to confirm what everyone was suspecting and praying for. On an interview on WFAN “Boomer & Carton” show on Thursday, Jerry eventually addressed all the rumors by saying that the filming at Tom's Restaurant wasn't for a Super Bowl commercial or for an episode for his web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

However, he also decided to keep the secrecy by adding “But it's not not those things, either. It's a secret project. I gave you more now than I've given anyone. I told you what it isn't. And then I also told you that it isn't not that, either.”

Jerry also confirmed that the filming included Jason Alexander reprising the role of the neurotic George Constanza, which pretty much gives it all away. Where else would George appear alongside Jerry, but in a Seinfeld sequel?

The sad news is that it's going to be a “one-and-done” kind of project. The good news is that Jerry confirmed you won't have to wait for it much longer as it will become available to fan “very, very soon.”

But still, it will be fun to see all our favorite characters from the sitcom all over again, with new material.
