It's official, people! It looks like this year's Saw 4 is about to break all records and be the best of the series so far. And just to keep the heat going, the producers have just revealed a new teaser trailer, which does a lot of things to the ones brave enough to watch it - among other things, it helps us realize what this new installment of terror will be about. But that's just one of the effects.
So, if you want to brave it, you can
WATCH IT HERE - but BE WARNED: it is extremely graphic, it contains offensive language and it's R-rated. Plus, it's called "the autopsy scene"...and you can pretty much gather it's not pretty. But I can reveal one thing - it does tie in with the official movie poster that features Jigsaw's head in a metal bowl...and that's all I'm saying.
If we remember the ending of Saw 3, there were plenty of things left hanging in the air - and with the death of both Amanda and Jigsaw himself, we were all hard at work trying to imagine how the plot of the fourth movie will kick off. Well, this is it - this little glimpse into the movie's gruesome universe holds the answer to the grueling "is Jigsaw really dead" question - plus a terrifying insight into his legacy of pain and torture.
Plus, this time around, we get all the key elements of the previous three installments mixed into one single gruesome cocktail: one of the characters, SWAT Commander Rigg - the last officer untouched by Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) - is suddenly abducted (by whom - we are not told) and forced to enroll in a 90 minutes race to save his life, while at the same time two FBI agents sift through the horrible legacy Jigsaw has left behind - including some leads which take us into his past, back to his ex-wife (named Jill) and towards explaining the true genesis of his evil.
So it looks (and sounds) like we're in for a steep and gruesome ride, which brings back more of the same while spicing it up with new twists and turns in a plot that will always leave us horrified, fascinated, sickened - and begging for more.
