The Saddest Picture of the Year...

Wino loses it...and her startling appearance makes me think she's close to a make or break point

I must tell you, I almost cried when I saw this picture. No, for once I'm not kidding, this Amy Wino photo nearly ruined my day. And I really couldn't make up my mind as to which particular details were the saddest - her skinny frame, the tattoos, the ragged-looking dress, the smelly-looking ballet pumps or the look of complete bewilderment on her face. Either way, Wino's reached the end of the road - or she's very close to it, anyway - and it's very soon going to be either make or break for her - as in live or die.

After being photographed more than once last week with a white blob hanging out of her nose (I wonder what that could have been...) pals of Amy's claimed for about the millionth time that the singer might actually consider going to rehab...again. And since her husband (and bad influence) Blake is in jail indefinitely, sources say Amy promised to check into the celebrity-friendly rehab clinic Priory (in London) after she is done with her current tour.

Personally, I pretty much doubt that will actually happen, but in the end, if you believe in Christmas miracles, you may hold on to a tiny shred of hope deep inside. In the meantime, get a good look at the emaciated Amy and tell yourselves "THIS is what drugs can do to someone". Amy's shrunken, emaciated frame has never been more scary, with her legs looking like they're about to give in at any time. Her dress is barely covering up some of the more sensitive spots - although at this point I don't have the energy to even imply that it would be funny if she gave us a vagina slip...for the simple reason that it would NOT be funny at all. And don't even get me started on her romances with those wretched ballet pumps - my nostrils start prickling only when I look at them. So, maybe that trip to rehab should start early - anyone thinks about a way to convince her?

"Amy has always been against rehab, it's been her one rule, but her family and friends are working on getting her to do it," says a friend. "Amy finishes her current tour in the middle of December. She has promised to consider going to Priory if she doesn't get clean over Christmas. She is miserable and, with her husband in jail, she has reached an all-time downer. The fact is Amy's shambolic appearances have been losing her fans, and ultimately it's losing her business." Yes, that makes a nice change - go to rehab to keep the dough coming. Well, anything that works...
