In today's world, in a permanent state of alert due to the catastrophic terrorist acts, surveillance has become a stringent problem in hot areas, such as airports. At the same time, it's a well-known fact that armed conflicts have led to different technological advancements and it seems that Sony's new camera fits perfectly into the new category.
The Japanese company has launched the SNC-CS50P model (via

an intelligent surveillance IP-based network camera able to differentiate between human movement and objects left unsupervised.
The quality is possible thanks to two technologies implemented by Sony, namely Intelligent Motion Detection and Intelligent Object Detection, and makes the SNC-CS50P model perfect for places that could be used by terrorists to place explosive charges.
However, Sony's camera is also suited for shops and personal residences (if you find it necessary to monitor any movement in the area), especially since it can detect movement in poor lighting conditions, 0.04 Lux.
The SNC-CS50P is able to work with the JPEG, MPEG4 and H.264 formats and it offers dual-stream capability, which means that it is able to transmit a high-quality stream in the local network, for local security services, and a low-quality transmission for remote locations.
Another vital feature is Power over Ethernet (PoE), which allows power supplying and data transmission over the same cable.
