It appears that the comprimising photos depicting Kristin Davis are authentic

Kristin Davis is at the heart of a compromising naked photos scandal

The four leading ladies of the TV phenomenon that was (and still is) "Sex and the City" better get together for some emergency crisis talks, because they seem to have a... well, sex scandal on their hands. No pun intended - this time, they're dealing with the real thing. Yesterday, news broke about the existence of a possible sex tape featuring SATC star Kristin Davis (a.k.a. Charlotte York).

Several photos - which some Internet sites claimed were stills taken off the sex tape - were released with the mention that the sex tape as such was being shopped around by an unknown broker. However, that turned out not to be true: gossip site TMZ reports there is no sex tape involved, but that there are more (20 or so) compromising photos featuring Davis nude, performing oral sex on an unknown man - and those photos are in fact authentic.

TMZ claims that the pictures were taken a long time ago - in 1992, to be more precise - by an ex boyfriend who decided to take the classy route and sell the photos to the highest bidder. Although Kristin's representative has now officially denied the photos are real, there are many who claim that they do in fact depict the real Kristin. Thirteen photos have been released to date, and they feature a naked Kristin either performing oral sex or simply showing off her genitals. The woman in the photos is clearly consenting to the shots being taken - so the theory according to which a jealous ex boyfriend sold the photos to get rich and get back at his former girlfriend would seem entirely plausible.

On the whole, it looks like we have another Vanessa Hudgens sex scandal on our hands. The story is developing, so stay tuned for more updates. A lot of media outlets are looking into this matter, given that at some point, there were some who suspected the whole scandal was nothing more than an orchestrated hoax aimed at drawing attention to the "Sex and the City" movie, which is set to be released in May. If there is any foul play involved, we will find out soon enough.
