Canon has recently released a new firmware version for their EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera. Version 1.2.1 fixes the issue when the camera changed the AF microadjustment value to -8.

The changelog mentions a fix for a phenomenon in which the on-screen guidance cannot be fully displayed when setting the maximum limit value for the "Setting the ISO Speed Range for Auto ISO" option.

Although large in size and number of articles, the release notes have a footnote. Out of the fourteen issues mentioned, only two are new additions. The rest are said to have come from the previous version, the 1.2.0.

5D Mark III was awarded “Gear of the year” by National Geographic given most of their pictures are taken using Canon's DSLR cameras.

The key to this camera is its 22.3 Megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, built to create high resolution, perfectly detailed images.

To help with the clarity of the pictures, Canon used a DIGIC 5+ Image Processor. This enhances noise reduction and increases processing speed.
