Have you had your share of laughs today? Not yet? Let's begin the party then. Today's subject is the Bluetooth headset developed by Bang & Olufsen, a headset named The EarSet 2. First of all, I have to inform you about the price attached to this "pretty" Bluetooth thingie: 413 $. Where did they come up with this exact sum of money?

From what I saw on all the websites presenting the above mentioned device, this is what you get if you convert its Korean price of 380.000 KRW in US dollars. That is quite a huge amount of money if you consider the only thing you get is that headset which is something you can buy for a lot more less money if you head over to a store selling mobile accessories.

As they say, their Bluetooth headset is supposed to deliver the mobile phone users an enhanced calling experience due to the two technologies separating it from the crowd: the fold away microphone and the thing they branded as a "Hi-Fi speaker technology". It is not as impressive as I expected its feature list to be and related to this subject, I would also add another set back to it: one big and appalling black dish that goes over the user's ear.

I'm not the person to judge them, but I couldn't help it when I heard about the price they tagged it with and the short list of things offered by the device. At least, they could have made it shinier with some gold or platinum to justify the money one will spend on it. But no, the Bang & Olufsen guys just went without no worries that anybody would ask himself why he/she should pay those money for their EarSet 2.

Maybe I'm totally wrong here in everything I wrote until now about it and maybe this HUGE price (for a Bluetooth headset) is due to other hidden features. It could be possible that we all are the witnesses of the moment they have just launched a new brand of mobile accessories meant only for the rich and famous and we are not aware of it yet.

If that is true, I officially call myself out of my league (with a bonus saying I'm a poor critic of nice, good looking and useful mobile devices) and I also declare the Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth EarSet 2 the Rolls Royce of all the Bluetooth headsets available on the mobile market and I also release the following warning: if you are rich and/or famous, you should buy yourself one of the Bang & Olufsen devices because sooner than you think, you may go out of style without even knowing it!
