Concept mobile phones are already becoming a common thing and some designers seem to be really enjoying coming up with new and exciting concepts.

Tao Ma seems to be one of them and has recently presented a bracelet concept phone that makes life easier for its users since it could be worn around the wrist. In this case, the designer has focused on making the handset as small as possible and is now presenting a concept dubbed the Roll phone.

It is apparently made out of three parts: the rolling screen, the 'operation part' that serves as a keypad and a battery. Thus, the keypad as well as the handset's battery are hidden in the center part and can be accessed by simply pushing on them. The handset's screen would also use an extremely flexible material that can be pulled out easily when the user needs it.

Its design is quite interesting and stylish, but as in the case of many other concept phones, the handset looks rather unpractical and difficult to use even though it's meant to be basic. Its size was the main thing the designer had in mind, and according to him, the Roll Phone is the shortest mobile phone ever.

The bottom line is that, as this phone looks so small, just for the idea of being able to replace your bulky mobile phone with one the size of a battery, you might want to get one. You could carry it in a pocket, strapped around your neck or your wrist. Unfortunately, few of these concept phones ever hit the market and turn into products. And this one has very slim chances of becoming a product.
