They say that simplicity is one of the attributes of God, and can be the origin of the most stunning and intricate designs the human mind can conceive, no matter whether we're talking about human beings, animals, plants, or engineering artifacts. And it is simplicity that has driven designer Sebastian Errazuriz into creating the astonishing shape and functionality of the Repisa N5 expandable bookshelves.

If space is a premium item in your residence (and this is the case of most homes, actually), then you should definitely take a closer look at the Repisa N5, since it boasts both the alluring design and the to-die-for functionality we're all craving.

As far as your decor is concerned, you can go symmetric or freestyle

One of the strongest points in the Repisa N5 bookshelf is not the way it looks, but rather its capability to change shape, and with that, to change the way your room looks. The idea behind this amazing furniture gadget is as simple as it gets: instead of using wooden planks as shelves, the designer has chosen smaller independent wood sticks, which can be flattened against the wall, thus maximizing the available space.

Exquisite design for modern interiors

If need be, all you have to do is pull as many “sticks” as you need, in order to accommodate the object or objects you want to place on the shelf. Books, fish bowls, sculptures, anything goes, with one single exception, that is if you have magazines or thin books, you'll have to lay them flat or with the covers facing the wall, lest they'll fall through the gaps.

Thanks to this innovative design, you can choose to have as many shelves as you want, being able to continuously change the way your room looks. Moreover, unlike other similar systems, the Repisa N5 will please both the fans of symmetry and those who like a more “freestyle” approach to the home décor. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability.
