It was the hairstyle that shaped a generation and that prompted a frenzy with (female) fans the likes of which perhaps only Justin Bieber can generate these days. In the February 2011 issue of Allure, Jennifer Aniston reveals she hated “The Rachel.”

Fans of the hit comedy series “Friends” must remember the ‘do Aniston’s character, Rachel, rocked in the first two seasons of the show.

If they don’t, they should know it’s one of the most famous and, therefore iconic, ‘dos ever, with millions of women trying to replicate it, to various degrees of success.

As far as Aniston is concerned, she never really liked that particular cut and ‘do, she says for Allure, in what may come as a shock to her diehard fans.

“Let’s just say there have been moments I’d rather not relive, like that whole Rachel thing,” the actress tells Allure.

“I love Chris [McMillan, hairstylist], and he’s the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look,” she adds.

More than not her best look, “The Rachel” would definitely rank as the ugliest haircut Aniston ever saw in her life, and that’s saying a lot.

“How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen. What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs?” the actress asks.

In the same interview, Aniston also reveals she’s quite skilled with a blow-drier and could even put the aforementioned McMillan to shame in a competition, should he ever have the cuts to ask it of her.

Speaking of getting all glammed up, the actress says she’s tried different styles throughout the years and she’s not afraid of looking unlike herself for her movies, with the latest example in this sense being the upcoming “Just Go With It.”

“I’ve been glammed up; I’ve been glammed down, which is really more me. I didn’t wear mascara in [my new movie] Just Go With It. It’s fun to transform a little bit – what do I have to lose?” she says.
