If you love ancient mysteries and being scared out of your pants, you're going to love this new horror film “The Pyramid,” which has just premiered its first full trailer. The movie seeks to use the rich mythology and mysterious nature revolving around pyramids and deliver a truly scary tale.

The trailer shows how a team of American archaeologists stumbles across an ancient three-sided pyramid in the Egyptian desert. They decide to enter and explore its depths, but they soon realize that they are trapped and fighting for their lives with mysterious creatures.

From the look of the trailer, the movie aims to mix third-person perspective with first-person perspective, replaying on a tried-and-tested method in the horror genre, pioneered by the classic “Blair Witch Project.”

Lost in the dark mazes deep inside the pyramid and with secretive creatures at work, there is little hope for the archaeologists to come out of “The Pyramid” alive. The movie is directed by Gregory Levasseur, the man who wrote “The Hills Have Eyes” and “Maniac,” so someone with some horror movie experience and pedigree.

This interesting horror movie is set to be released in cinemas this year, starting with December 5. Here's hoping there is actually a mummy in this movie that is going to appear by the end.
