Comic books have gained a big amount of popularity lately, prompting the attention of other types of entertainment, especially when it comes to borrowing ideas and/or characters from graphic novels.

The latest example in this sense is the upcoming The Punisher: No Mercy, a game created by Zen Studios and scheduled to appear exclusively for the PlayStation Network. As the title suggests, its story is based on the famous Marvel Comics character, and reveals his own personal struggle.

The game, although announced some time ago, has just received a concrete release date and some more details regarding price. Those who would like to experience a great multiplayer FPS experience but also to try out an interesting single player one will have to check the PSN on July 2, when the game is released for just 9.99 dollars.

“Our team has been working long hours to deliver a first-person shooter experience that will live up to the Punisher name,” said Zsolt Kigyossy, managing director for Zen Studios. “With awesome characters, a customizable system, and fast-paced multiplayer action, No Mercy is breaking ground in the digital space. For comic and shooter fans alike, this is a must-have game for the summer.”

The title promises some truly intense action, which will certainly look good as it will use the Unreal Engine 3 for its graphics and mechanics. There is also a wide range of characters, both good and bad, which will be playable in the multiplayer gameplay. A variety of weapons will be placed at the players' disposal, in order to complete solo or team-based missions.

Overall, The Punisher: No Mercy is looking extremely good, and, at the very low price of $9.99, you simply can't beat it, especially if you want to have a fun and intense experience with friends.
