Video message shows Prince Charles stressing the importance of sustainable development

A few hours ago, YouTube posted a pre-recorded video message in which England's Prince Charles addresses this year's participants at the Rio+20 Earth Summit.

His wish is to raise awareness with respect to climate change – global warming, in particular – and urge world leaders to act while there still is time.

As well as this, he draws attention to the fact that the global food and energy crisis are far from being solved as proper solutions somehow seem to keep eluding us, regardless of how many conferences are organized on an yearly basis to discuss just these.

Thus, he argues that things are not moving as quickly as they should be when it comes to implementing sustainable development policies, and that this exponentially increases the risk for catastrophic future events.

Hopefully, the Rio+20 Earth Summit will give this message the consideration it deserves.
