Yeah sure, if you have a long enough power cord

When you click on the picture on your left, you may say that it's a total hoax. I myself was skeptical about it at first, seeing it on a blank background kind of led me into thinking it was a 360 put under a laptop screen using a photo editor, but after doing a little digging I saw that it may be true after all. The Xbox 360's own 12 inch LCD screen - Wow, think of all the space you'll preserve (room space not disk space).

The Compact TFT Monitor EX from Hori was confirmed in an April 16 press release, that IGN took and poked till there was nothing left. The specifications are:

- LCD monitor that can be attached to your Xbox 360 very fast and easy, having the exact width and length as the 360 itself; - it has a diagonal of 12.1 inches; - it outputs 720p; - connects to the 360 through an analog RGB; - there are stereo speakers below the monitor, (but you can also plug in headphones); - the unit has its very own AC adapter; - it retails for 36,750 yen.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, it's currently set for launch only in Japan, in July. So, Microsoft's finally throwing something in to compete with Sony's PSP and Nintendo's DS, huh? Well, not exactly; you see, the Xbox 360 weighs about three and a half kilos, so it won't make a very good portable system, even with that fancy 12 inch LCD screen that you can stick to the top of the case. But they sure think of everything over there at Hori HQ.
