As you probably already know, the number of radio stations broadcasting over the Internet is simply huge nowadays, as most major radio networks have also switched to the www. Moreover, the process of setting up your own personal radio station is an extremely easy one, so now just about anyone can call himself a radio DJ. However, up until now, one required the presence of a PC or notebook with an Internet connection in order to listen to his/her favorite radio station. It seems that this is no longer the case, since a company called Torian Wireless has announced the InFusion, a music player which doubles as a portable receiver for Internet radio stations.

This very interesting device allows users to listen to any radio station in the world that streamed over the Internet, without requiring a computer in order to work. However, as you might have already guessed, the InFusion does require the presence of a Wireless Network, so it's not exactly completely portable, as the manufacturers tout. The device doubles as a music player with built-in FM tuner, but it doesn't have any internal memory, relying on a SD/MMC card, which can reach capacities of up to 4 GB.

Here are the most important features and specs this device has to offer:

- dimensions: 77.6mm x 59.5mm x 22.7mm;
- weight: 100 grams;
- battery: Li-Ion, internal, rechargeable;
- battery life: 5 hours of Internet Radio, 8 hours of MP3 playback;
- display: Backlit LCD (Blue);
- storage capacity: uses SD MMC cards with capacities of up to 4 GB;
- audio playback: MP3, RealAudio, AAC, OGG;
- audio capturing format: MP3;
- FM frequency range: 87.5 - 108 MHz;
- wireless LAN: WLAN 802.11b;
- connectivity: 3.5mm earphones, Mini USB.

The device from Torian Wireless has been announced for around 2 years now, but it seems that it will hit the shelves worldwide in around 3 weeks' time for a whooping 229.00 USD, which is a huge price for such a device, especially when we take into consideration the fact that it requires a hot-spot in order to work at full capacity.
