Spelunky, Nidhogg, Jamestown Plus, Escape Goat 2 and many others will land on the PS4/Vita

Sony is preparing to welcome some great indie titles to the PlayStation family, with updated visuals and social functionality in order to feel at home on the PlayStation 4.

Nidhogg is a side-scrolling competitive local multiplayer fencing game that challenges players to use perfect timing and a range of special attacks in order to defeat their opponents, and is considered one of the big indie hits of 2014, now headed for the PS4.

Derek Yu's Spelunky needs no introduction, as the procedurally generated platformer has turned into an indie phenomenon, and is coming with full 1080p visuals on the PlayStation 4, as well as with new social features built-in, in an effort to support the streaming and sharing culture that contributed to the game's success.

Chasm is a side-scrolling role-playing game / platformer hybrid with beautiful pixel graphics and procedurally generated dungeons, coming to the PlayStation 4 later this year, tasking players with investigating the mysterious disappearance of a mining crew in a remote mountain town.

The acclaimed strategy/brawler hybrid Skulls of the Shogun is coming in The Bone-a-Fide Edition to the PlayStation 4, delivering a massively enhanced version of the fast-paced turn-based game.

Source aims to evolve the Metroidvania genre, delivering spectacular and unique visuals and a completely new adventure style to the PlayStation 4.

Axiom Verge is an ambitious indie side-scrolling platformer that delivers a re-imagined retro experience, with expansive and non-linear exploration of labyrinthine interlocking areas and tons of unique tools, weapons, power ups and abilities, making its way to the PlayStation Vita and PS4 platforms.

Drifter is a space exploration sandbox game that's gliding toward the PlayStation Vita and the PS4, delivering an ambitious space trading sim experience set in a procedurally generated galaxy.

Jamestown Plus is a cooperative two-dimensional shoot'em up that's coming in an expanded edition, with new ships and levels, allowing 1 to 4 players to shoot colorful enemies in a bullet hell environment on British Colonial Mars, coming to the PS4.

Starwhal: Just the Tip allows up to four players to engage in the competitive experience of controlling a messy neon space narwhal, with the goal being to tame their avatar and tag their opponents. The game is coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Escape Goat 2 is Double Fine's first foray into the publishing world, an ingenious and much-acclaimed platformer, offering a unique and challenging experience with a one-of-a-kind physics engine, where players assume control of a goat and his trusty mouse familiar, headed for the PlayStation 4.

Ironclad Tactics presents a strategic card battling game set on the battlefields of the American Civil War, with small sacrifices in historical accuracy in order to provide more fun, allowing players to use robots and other steampunk contraptions in the ultimate deck-building challenge, making its way to the PlayStation 4.
