Of course, that's a very subjective thing to say, but there are reasons

There is no such thing as perfect, not that humankind has been able to create at any rate, but there are some things that come close, and we dare say Panasonic's VT60 TV comes close.

Priced at $3,000 / €2,248 – €3,000, it would normally come across as an unreasonably expensive piece of equipment.

The list of features is undeniably worthwhile though. We'll leave it to customers to decide if they think it's worth buying, but there definitely are some nice technologies here.

THX certification basically seals its post as the best plasma set on the market.

The size of 60 inches, coupled with the black bezel of just 2 inches, and the flat, silver-grey stand, maximize immersion and ensure aesthetic compatibility with the layout of basically any room.

There's Wi-Fi to set up of course, as well as a motion-tracking remote, microphone, high-end speakers, facial recognition, and an extensive color calibration system (set for input, with different settings for HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc).

Once all those things are ready, though, it looks great, and can even use picture-in-picture to play a movie and browse the net if needed.

The only downside is that bright rooms will cause a glare that will impair visibility.

For those who want to know the dry specifications before heading to Amazon and shouting to Panasonic to take their money, here they are.

The 60-inch plasma HDTV has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 3D support (two pairs of glasses ship with it), three HDMI inputs, three USB 3.0 connectors, an SD card slot, Composite port, RJ-45 LAN and Voice recognition.

All three popular web-interaction technologies are available (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet), along with 2, 5W fronts / 1, 10W sub speakers, and media player capabilities (can play content, including DLNA, from SD/USB devices).

Finally, the Smart TV boasts Swipe & Share 2.0 (content sharing from mobile devices), and My Home Screen (personalized content presentation).
