Experts have put much time into coming up with the ideal technical, physiologic and mathematic factors that are responsible for people taking their perfect shower. This will help the Mira Showers company produce the devices that would eventually create the ultimate showering experience.

A group of scientists from Mindlab International, a company that specializes in neuroscience as applied to consumer behavior and decision-making, under the leadership of neuro-psychologist Dr. David Lewis, devised a mathematical formula that will aid Mira Showers experts in raising the average showering experience to the rank of science.

This formula is based on 7 essential factors: water pressure, water temperature, time length of the showering activity, spray pattern, fixture type, privacy conditions, and the environmental factor. These were all combined and balanced in order to obtain maximum comfort and efficiency. The research was conducted last month on 1,000 UK adult citizens, and used their shower ratings from 1 to 100 (scores above 85 being considered as relevant for the goal of the study). Also, upon creating their formula, the specialists took into consideration some basic features of this activity, such as the people's concern for running out of hot water.

Dr. Lewis explains: “Creating the optimum shower is no easy feat, but a worthwhile endeavor. It offers psychological benefits; by varying the temperature of the water and the power of the jets, relaxation or stimulation can be aided. Endorphins are then released in the brain to make our mood more positive and feel energized. Also, because our skin contains a thousand nerve endings per square inch, creating the perfect shower to stand under is crucial in creating intense and extremely pleasurable physical sensations. As an added bonus, showers generate negative ions that also have an uplifting effect on mood, so help to further reduce stress, wash away frustrations and dissolve muscle tension.”

For now, all that remains for us to do is to wait for the device to become available on the market, and to hope for the prices to be within affordable levels.
