If the Apple TV is indeed getting its much-hyped revamp this year, along with the rumored gaming upgrade that we’ve been hearing about, there’s at least one accessory that Apple needn’t worry about: a controller.

The market is packed to the brim with iOS-compatible controllers in all shapes and sizes, but none appears to equal the SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller. Apple itself approves of the product as it sells it through its online stores (and possibly retail stores too).

According to the product description, “The SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller delivers outstanding, yet portable console-like gaming controls on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. The first of this controller type to be Apple certified, Stratus supports hundreds of games already released and every controller-enabled game coming to the iTunes App Store in the future.”

In other words, any Apple TV game will go hand in hand with the SteelSeries gear.

The gamepad also features pressure sensitive buttons, dual analog sticks, multiplayer support for up to four controllers, and boasts an advertised 10 hours of battery life. It even matches the look and feel of Apple’s black TV box. For who’s asking, the thing sells for $79.95 in the US and €69.95 in Europe.
