Having a lot of chances of becoming the walkman of the 21st century, Sony's portable console, the PSP, is starting to prove its versatility and in the blink of an eye it has transformed from a gaming platform to a portable movie hub and recently, to a pornographic media center.

Although Sony is not happy with the usage intended by the adult oriented industry, I don't think the idea hasn't crossed their minds (after all, Japan has some pretty twisted and bizarre cult for pornography). It was just a matter of time before a XXX company came up with the idea of providing UMD format erotic movies.

Whether pornography will influence PSP sales or not, that is a relative thing, and not because there won't be a solid offer in this highly debated domain, but because I don't think many users will be willing to walk across the streets while watching hardcore scenes on their PSP.

Therefore, Sony should let pornography be, and focus on movies. PSP was and is a gaming console, but the success of the UMD format movies was a surprise even to the Japanese. Inspired by this success, Sony has declared that besides the 20 games designed for the console, it has also prepared 10 movies.
