The Overtaker 3D – World War II Action On Mobiles

- Gloomy first-person shooter game

By: Florin Troaca, Communications News Editor

The Overtaker 3D is the name of the latest mobile game that concentrates its action on the long gone but never forgotten World War II. Created by Gameleons, the new
game is a first-person shooter that somehow reminds us (or you) of the famous-now Wolfenstein series.

The Overtaker 3D comes as a "dark adventure" (of course, all war-related adventures are dark in a way or another) that places players in a Europe devastated by war. You have to fight against the forces of the Third German Reich and stop them from developing a technology that can dreadfully change the course of history. During the game, you have to use your special combat skills, various weapons, intelligent tactics or direct action. If you successfully combine all these, the game's twelve levels will be gloriously finished.

Available in six languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish), Overtaker 3D offers high-quality graphics, special effects and a "soundtrack" that can probably rival Chopin's funeral marches.

There are no details about the exact release date of Overtaker 3D, but the (apparently) gloomy and bloody game should be out pretty soon, meaning in a few weeks. Or even less, hence gamers who like to shoot soldiers who, in their turn, like to shoot gamers, will probably be thrilled.

Based in Poland, Central Europe, Gameleons developed until now a wide range of mobile games, including titles like "Pirates Den", "Red Bull X-Fighters", "3D Alpha Zone", "Swords of Fury" and "Rabbit: Terror of the Wood".

The Overtaker 3D seems to be a pretty cool addition to the Polish developer's portfolio, but to be sure of that, we have to wait and see how realistic its World War II universe is and how the whole gaming experience goes (one thing is sure: it goes dark).
