The Order: 1886 was one of the games featured during Sony's E3 press conference, where the company announced that the game would be out on February 20, 2015, exclusively on the PlayStation 4 platform.

The Order: 1886 is an action-adventure video game set in an alternate history London, following an ancient order of knights who are battling the forces of the occult, trying to keep humanity safe from various mythical monsters.

The game's story reveals that sometime around the seventh or eighth century, a small number of humans started evolving beast-like traits, becoming half-man half-monster breeds and endangering the existence of mankind.

So far, it's been pretty hard to tell the difference between the cutscenes and the gameplay sequences revealed for The Order: 1886, which is to be expected for a game that's building hype. The initial reveals are usually pre-rendered and everything is spruced up to the limit, but as the development process becomes more and more streamlined and the final product begins to shape up, the actual gameplay becomes more easily discernible from the pre-rendered stuff.

For now, it's hard to tell whether developer Ready at Dawn is making such large strides in visual fidelity that the cutscenes blend in with the actual gameplay or whether the entire experience will be geared toward the cinematic and less toward an action-oriented gameplay experience.

However that may be, Sony announced the game's release date, of February 20, 2015, and also revealed the pre-order bonuses and special edition available for purchase.

Pre-orders boast the Knight's Arsenal DLC, which includes the Red Lightning Pack as well as the Arsonist Pack, each of those coming with an alternate outfit for Galahad, the game's protagonist, and a weapon variant for single-player mode, the Arc Rifle Prototype and the Arsonist Rifle.

The Collector's Edition will go for $80 / €59, offering a 7 inch "Galahad Under Fire" statue, the game, a Collectable Steelbook, some stickers, as well as some exclusive digital content in the form of the Pre-Order DLC, the official soundtrack featuring some bonus tracks, and unreleased behind-the-scenes footage.

The Premium Edition, which will go for $150 / €110, contains a 13-inch "The Endless Duel" statue, The Order: 1886 game, a Collectable Steelbook, an art book with a hidden compartment for added flavor, a Blackwater Vial (with chain), a Collector's Box, some stickers, as well as digital content in the form of the Pre-Order DLC (Knight's DLC), the game's official soundtrack with bonus tracks and unreleased, behind-the-scenes footage.
