Ready at Dawn is aware that some people will hate its game

Ready at Dawn, the studio behind the new The Order: 1886 third-person shooter for the PS4, blames itself for not communicating its intentions for the game to the media and fans, although it's quite content with the fact that some people may not enjoy it, as you can't please everyone.

The Order: 1886 launches today, February 20, around the world for the PS4 platform, and the last few months have been filled with new screenshots, videos, and details about the third-person shooter, its ambitious visuals, and its attempt to deliver a story-driven, cinematic experience.

Unfortunately for developer Ready at Dawn, the final project isn't all that great, as reviewers and critics have slammed it ahead of release for its short length, its disappointing story, and the huge amount of cutscenes.

Ready at Dawn could have communicated better

While talking with Game's Princess, via WorldsFactory, Ready at Dawn Chief Technical Officer Andrea Pessino mentions that his team wanted to forge a custom experience unlike anything that's been done before.

However, he also emphasizes that this goal could have been communicated better with the outside world, as this has led to many misunderstandings about its vision for The Order: 1886 and its core principles.

Last but not least, Pessino adds that not everyone will like the game as you can't please all fans, but at least he hopes that those who are satisfied with it will share their love with others.

"I don’t know exactly how this works or how it can be done better, everyone has different expectations and wants a different game and our game can’t give everyone what they want. It’s rather unique and specific. I think some people will have a great and fantastic reaction [to The Order: 1886], others will hate it deeply."

The Order: 1886 rolls out today, February 20, all around the world exclusively for the PS4.
