The Olsen Twins at Each Other's Throats

The Olsen twins have been MIA for a while now - not that they've been known to enjoy the spotlight too much in any case, but even by their standards, it's a long time since we heard any news from the straggly-haired, oversize-glasses-loving duo. And now, a possible reason for their recent absence has emerged: the petite millionaires have a bit of a personal crisis on their hands. It has been widely rumored lately that Mary-Kate and Ashley have grown tired of each other and have been feuding over everything from their personal relationship to running of their multi-million dollar business empire.

"They've finally had enough of each other. They just don't see eye-to-eye anymore and are tired of constantly butting heads," a friend of the twins stated for Star magazine, also adding that the two sisters seem to be drawing further and further apart with every day that passes. "Ashley isn't an angel, but she's tired of having to take care of Mary-Kate. One second Mary-Kate is maniacally happy, and the next she's sobbing. Her mood swings are dragging Mary-Kate down, and finally, Ashley's decided she doesn't want to go down with her," the friend explains. And apparently, it's not only their personal lives that are causing trouble between the two. "Ashley's been considering separating their assets and trusts and getting her own business manger," the same insider says.

The National Enquirer also mentions the squabble between the Olsen twins, with the mention that they're providing quite a different reason for the sisterly feud - the two girls' parents, whom they "fired" as managers of their company, Dualstar. "Mary-Kate had some real issues with the family after they put her in rehab. But now she feels like that may have colored her decision to cut them out of Dualstar. Mary-Kate now regrets her decision - on the other hand, Ashley thinks it was the right move. That's what Mary-Kate and Ashley mainly fight about," a source for the Enquirer reports. Whatever the source of the animosity between Mary-Kate and Ashley is, they will hopefully work things out, or else we'll soon have a most unusual celebrity break-up on our hands.
