In this Japanese magic show, illusionist Cyril Takayama asked a volunteer to pick a card. He then asked her to sign it and proceeded to place her card in an aquarium without, of course, even touching the glass.

After moving to the other side of the aquarium, he made it look like he was breaking the glass and reached in, grabbed the card and pulled his hand out without leaving the glass broken.

The second video provides an explanation of how the trick was performed. In order to perform this trick, the aquarium would have to be rigged. It would have to be fitted with two compartments, one at the top and one at the bottom. The 2 sections would allow for the aquarium glass to be slid upwards or downwards without allowing the water in it to spill.

The narrator bases his theory on the premise that the illusionist had an accomplice. After having the card signed by the volunteer, he supposedly passed it to his accomplice who then placed it inside the aquarium by sticking it on a section of the glass that was concealed in the bottom section of the aquarium.

A hole in the glass would then be exposed by sliding it upwards, allowing the illusionist to reach in, grab the card, and slide the glass back in without spillage. The hole wouldn't be visible at the end of the trick.
