Windows 8.1 users have received another important application this morning, as Comedy Central launch an official Metro client in the store that allows users to watch their favorite shows without leaving the Modern UI.

The Comedy Central app gives you the opportunity to watch yesterday’s episodes of a wide array of shows, including the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, South Park, Futurama, Review, and Workaholics.

“Get the latest episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, South Park and @midnight, plus other shows. Seriously, there's hours and hours of stuff to watch: sign in with your TV provider to access everything, including Tosh.0, Key & Peele, Workaholics and more. You can also kick back with great stand-up specials, archive shows (including Chappelle's Show) and full seasons of returning series,” the official description published in the store reads.

Of course, the official Comedy Central app works on both desktop computers and tablets and comes with a freeware license, which means that you don’t have to pay for a license.

Overall, this is clearly a great addition to the Windows Store for everyone running Microsoft’s new operating system, so go ahead and download Comedy Central for Windows 8.1 to see what it brings to you.
